Charla has been acting for well over 20 years, with experience in theatre, film, TV, commercials and voice-over. She has also been teaching and coaching actors all that time and has a special gift for working with children. She was the lead kids teacher at Keep It Real Acting in North Hollywood for two years, teaching and creating commercial classes for very young children all the way up to teenagers. As an actress, Charla is no stranger to the indie film scene and loves to collaborate on projects that she feels passionate about. Charla has 2 tattoos. One on her right wrist and consists of the word "Breathe" with a hummingbird. She got it in 2015 along with her husband, who got the same thing. The second is a delicate butterfly above her inner left ankle, a memorial to her daughter who died in 2016 of a drug overdose. Charla lost her only child, 22 year old daughter Cassidy Aspen Cochran on Nov. 11, 2016 to an apparent heroin overdose (the medical examiner found fentanyl was the actual cause of death). Charla has become an advocate in sharing her story to stop the stigma in hopes of helping to change the way society looks at Substance Use Disorder.
